At the 40th anniversary celebrations the QBC announced the renaming of the Qld RM Awards to the Harry Haxton Shield. The awards recognise outstanding achievements and contributions to the records and information management industry and renaming the awards honours one of Queensland’s founding fathers who encouraged our industry to push the boundaries and achieve more than what we ever thought possible. From education and learning, publication and knowledge sharing his ‘give it a go attitude’ is the basis on which outstanding achievements are built.
